  • Ministry of the Attorney General

    The Ministry of the Attorney General is responsible for providing a fair and accessible justice system which reflects the needs of the diverse communities it serves across government and the province. It strives to manage the justice system in an equitable, affordable and accessible way throughout the province.

  • Legal Aid Ontario

    Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) is an independent, publicly funded, and publicly accountable non-profit corporation, which administers the province's legal aid program. LAO's mandate is to promote access to justice throughout Ontario for low-income individuals by means of providing consistently high quality legal aid services in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

  • Ontario Superior Court of Justice - Small Claims Court

    The Small Claims Court is a distinct branch of the Superior Court of Justice. It has civil jurisdiction for monetary claims up to $25,000.

  • Pro Bono Law Ontario

    Pro Bono Law Ontario (PBLO) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to increase access to justice for all of Ontario's citizens. PBLO develops special projects through law firms, legal clinics, or community-based organizations to provide free legal services to eligible members of the public. These services are also available for nonprofit or charitable groups.

  • Ministry of Consumer Services
  • The Consumer Protection Branch to helps build understanding of Ontario's consumer protection legislation, including information and mediation and a consumer complaints process.
